Currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Waitemata Rugby Football Club. Paul has a keen interest in sports performance having a representative sporting background in Rugby Union, and Touch football.
Paul has a background in Law Enforcement having spent five and half years as a constable in various roles within the New Zealand Police. He is now specializing in training those clients who wish to pass the New Zealand Police recruitment physical appraisal test.

Background
Selby started out at the age of 18 in Australia playing Rugby, then shifted to something more physical - Muay Thai! He then focussed on strength training, and has an extensive background in Muay Thai kickboxing having competed against and worked with a number of very high profle athletes and trainers in Australia.
Having moved to Auckland, Selby now trains classes and individuals in Muay Thai, Brazliain Ju Jitsu and MMA, whilst having a varied clientele for personal training.
Qualifications
- Certified Level 3 and 4 in Fitness
- National Diploma in Fitness
- Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach
Clientele
Selby develops strength and conditioning plans for his clients focusing on strength; fat-loss and muscle gaining programmes with short- and medium-term goals. Clients can choose a broad range of fun and challenging exercises and sessions, utilising his varied experiences as an athlete and trainer to develop a highly varied training programme that targets multiple aspects of fitness, including sports specific focusses as well as nutritional plans to strip fat and build/ tone muscle. The incorporation of martial arts into the training programme is unique amongst our trainers, and is an excellent way to develop mental as well as physical attributes.
